Scarborough RUFC are on the road for the third time this month as they take on Huddersfield YMCA on Saturday. ‘YM’ who went into administration two weeks ago because of a hotly contested £166,000 bill, have continued to operate as an amateur rugby club.
They went down 38-40 at Malton on the opening day of the season and this was followed a week later by a 15-50 home defeat to Bradford & Bingley; last Saturday they lost 20-32 on the road at Cleckheaton and consequently are second from bottom of North One East.
Having gained seven points from their first two games at Cleckheaton and Kendal, the Seasiders played their first home game last week and scored seven tries for a 48-31 win in a twelve try spectacular with Percy Park.
