img_7899     Scarborough’s opponents at Silver Royd on Saturday are high-flying Northumbrian outfit Morpeth RFC.  The Geordies have a 100% record in their North One East campaign so far with wins on the road at Morley and Malton & Norton and home victories against Percy Park and Bradford & Bingley and will look to keep their run going against newly-promoted Scarborough

The Seasiders kicked the season off with a high-scoring win at Bradford and Bingley 55-33 followed by three games all won or lost very late in the game; going down 22-18 on the road at Bridlington, beating Cleckheaton 26-19 at Silver Royd and last week losing 29-26 at Huddersfield YMCA having outscored the west Yorkshiremen by four tries to two. Ex-Whitby player Luke Brown bagged a couple of tries on debut and was named man of the match.

For Saturday’s match Joe Marshall is ruled out with concussion following a head injury sustained last week, Euan Govier plays on the wing with Ben Martin and Aaron Wilson in the back row. Winger Jonty Holloway who departed for Newcastle University early in the week is replaced by Jack Anderson; Alexis Core makes his first start in the front row with Nino Cutino, Ryan Fowler and Will Leah on the bench. KICK OFF AT SILVER ROYD IS AT 3pm.
