BILLY PARKER RETURNS TOMORROW NIGHT
Following last Saturday’s 52-33 win at Keighley which earned them a play-off place for promotion to North One East, Scarborough take on Beverley in the re-arranged Yorkshire Challenge Shield semi-final at Silver Royd.
For the Seasiders, centre Billy Parker who was unavailable on Saturday returns at inside centre with Matty Young moving to the wing; Jonty Holloway joins Paul Taylor, Chris Purdy and Ian Williams on the bench.
Scarborough and Beverley have already met twice in the league with Simon Smith’s side victorious in both games 36-12 at home and 31-20 on the road last month. Last Saturday Beverley recorded a thumping 52-31 win over already promoted champions York at Beaver Park.
With tomorrow night’s protagonists scoring 104 points between them and high scoring games last Saturday it could be a high-scoring feast of running rugby tomorrow night. Kick off at Silver Royd is at 7.45pm.
