With Middlesbrough beating Heath RUFC on the road, Scarborough’s eight try win at Keighley earned them second place in Yorkshire One and a play-off game with the runners-up in Durham/Northumberland One for a place in NORTH ONE and regional rugby.

The Seasiders scored an early try through wingman Harry Domett and further tries from Aaron Wilson, Ben Martin and prop Paul Taylor, all converted by Tom Ratcliffe saw them lead 28-7 at the interval.

A Jordi Wakeham try after the break stretched the lead to 33-5. A Keighley revival made the second forty minutes a seesaw affair but further tries from Martin and Wilson and a touchdown by centre Jimmy Perrett put the issue beyond doubt.

Scarborough will face one of Durham City, Consett, Barnard Castle or South Shields/Westoe on the road on Saturday May 5th.

THE SEASIDERS TAKE ON BEVERLEY IN THE SEMI FINAL OF THE YORKSHIRE SHIELD AT SILVER ROYD ON WEDNESDAY 25th APRIL AT 7.45pm.
