HARRY DOMETT SCORES AT HULLENSIANS

Scarborough travel to Humberside to take on Hullensians tomorrow still smarting from last week’s first home defeat of the season at the hands of Heath; with a growing injury list the Seasiders did well against the west Yorkshiremen considering they lost both fly-half Phil Stewart in the warm-up and winger Harry Domett a late withdrawal with flu.

Hullensians have had a mixed season and sit mid-table in Yorkshire One, seventh out of fourteen teams having won four and lost four games. They have lost twice at home to York and Heath who are first and second in the league. On their last outing two weeks ago they were on the wrong end of a 30-15 score-line at Middlesbrough; last week their home game with Old Rishworthians was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.

Coach Simon Smith has retained the midfield selection forced upon him by last week’s late withdrawals and Paul White once again teams up with Billy Parker in the centre and Tom Ratcliffe plays at fly-half. Harry Domett has been named on the wing and Jack Anderson joins Euan Govier and Mikey Whitton on the bench. In the forwards Mikey Readman starts in the second row with Matty Oxtoby.

Also on the road tomorrow are the Norsemen who take on Hullensians 3rds whilst the Vikings, who won 31-22 at Driffield last week, entertain Hullensians Hawks at Silver Royd. The Valkryies, who lost 30-24 at Novocastrians Ladies at Newcastle last Sunday, play their second home game of the season taking on Morpeth at Silver Royd on Sunday afternoon.
