Scarborough scored a point a minute for the first half-hour of a fast moving game; they went on to run in 11 tries in trouncing visitors Old Brodlieans 69-20 at a sun-drenched Silver Royd.

Prop Nino Cutino opened the scoring in the 5th minute and the rampant Seasiders ran in five tries to earn a bonus point with only half of the match played.

Leading 31-3 at half-time and with second row Mikey Readman in the sin-bin having been Yellow Carded just before the break, skipper Matty Jones’s men conceded a try only three minutes into the second half. However that was merely a glitch and they dominated the rest of the game running in a further six touchdowns.

The fact that they’d grabbed a couple of tries of their own was scant consolation for the West Yorkshiremen as Scarborough recorded their biggest win of the season running up a tally of 69 points which included four thrilling tries from winger Matty Young.

The Seasiders are in great form having won 7 out of their last 8 games in what has been their strongest finish in Yorkshire One for quite some time. Youngster Jonty Holloway had an outstanding first XV home derby.
