With only the Vikings in action at Marist RFC there is no live rugby at Silver Royd on Saturday; however you can get along to the J.M. Guthrie to take in the two Six Nations Championship games on the big screens, Scotland-Ireland at 2.30pm and England-France at five.

Will it be a walk in the park for multi-talented England this time? Or will one of the other five nations surprise us? I will be very surprised if they do.  There was an article in the sports section of this week’s Daily Telegraph discussing FOUR different back five pack combinations England could select against France;  so for me it the big boys from Twickenham once more.  However, I would of course be delighted to see my countrymen do well in Coach Vern Cotter’s last Six Nations in charge.

The Women’s Six Nation Championship also takes place this weekend with Scarborough’s own Zoe Aldcroft in the squad for England’s game with France. The game kicks off at 7.30pm on Saturday evening and is on SKY SPORTS.

I think I unintentionally misled you last week by reporting that Devin Ibanez would return from the USA this week. He subsequently informed me today that he arrives next Wednesday. Scarborough entertain Bradford Salem at Silver Royd on Saturday 11th February at 2.15pm.
