Scarborough turned in a decidedly lack-lustre performance at Bridlington in Yorkshire One this afternoon. Although they fell behind to an early try, they bounced back to score a terrific touchdown through Benji Cottle converted by stand-in fly-half Tom Ratcliffe who added a penalty for a 10-7 lead. However the Seasiders flattered to deceive and having trailed 10-17 at the break were beaten by a Bridlington fifteen really up for the game. A big travelling support were left disappointed and frustrated by their side’s performance ahead of next week’s visit to Silver Royd by league leaders Ilkley.
