A GREAT TOSS TO WIN: A GREAT DAY FOR THE AUSSIES

Aussie skipper Michael Clarke scored his 24th century to take his side to 259-3 having won a peachy toss in Mediterranean weather in Manchester. Clarke won his first toss in the series and his side has bounced back in their efforts to reduce the arrears in the series in which they trail 0-2. The England bowlers have stuck to their collective task on a difficult day to be in the field and perhaps we will now see if all the hype about a 5-0 whitewash is just wishful thinking. As a truly committed England cricket supporter, I have to say that the lack of support from the tossers on SKY sports and the old farts on TMS is in stark contrast with the backing given to the Aussies in their home Ashes series.
