Tom Harrison, Charlie Hoggard, and Ian Williams return to the Scarborough first team squad for tomorrow’s visit to Clifton Park to take on York in a game swapped from Silver Royd. Tom and Charlie are returning from injury and Ian returns after being sent off for retaliation in the 35-5 defeat of Pontefract at Silver Royd; all three start on the bench. Scarborough should travel with confidence, their thrilling last-gasp 22-18 win at Wath two weeks ago still fresh in their minds. The squad had a chance to restore their batteries last weekend when they enjoyed a free Saturday. Both sides are on 31 points in Yorkshire One but the skipper Phil Watson’s men are above the Minster-men with a superior points difference (same as goal difference in football); both sides have won six and lost six. The men from Clifton Park come off a run of three consecutive wins, all against sides below them in the league, their last outing saw them record a 23-12 home win over Pontefract. Coach Jason Lowde has included a clutch of young players who have progressed through the Scarborough ranks this season and they have acquitted themselves well so far. A great display in south Yorkshire two weeks ago included a try from debutant centre Alex Renwick who starts in the centre tomorrow. Ben Wilson is still injured and Phil Austen plays in the back row whilst Corey Dennis returns on the wing with Graeme Jeffrey at fullback.
