PHIL WATSON AND MARK HOPPER GET TUCKED INTO SOME HEALTHY GRUB!
With no Yorkshire One game on Saturday, Scarborough Head Coach Jason Lowde decided to ring the changes in last nights training. A Pilates session was planned but because of the late unavailability of the instructor the players did Gym and open training work between 7 and 8pm and this was followed by a meal and talk on nutrition for rugby players by Dr Rob Hazledine was plays for the club. Rob who had recently attended a Rugby Nutrition course at Newcastle Falcons delivered a very informative presentation which included basics of nutrition and metabolism (principles of good nutrition for sport), Supplements, Hydration training, pre and post-match nutrition and recovery routines among other subjects. The players enjoyed a healthy post training meal as part of the session.
