BEN WILSON
Just got back from a short break away and have had a word with Scarborough’s Recruitment and Retention officer Nick Ingham. Nick reckons that he has several irons in the fire but so as not to jeopardize possible signings he will keep his cards close to his chest for the time being. However he did announce the signing of 29 year old Yorkshireman Ben Wilson. Ben moved to Adelaide, South Australia in 2003 and played club rugby there for eight years during which he made several appearances for the South Australia State representative side. The experienced open-side flanker moved back to the UK last year and played for Kettering Blues in Midlands East One. He was selected for the East Midlands’ representative side but missed his opportunity due to injury. Ben moves to Scarborough on the 30th of the month so I’ll have the chance for an interview and picture then. Let’s hope he is the first of many.
